Ayurvedic Fall Detox

In Ayurveda, it is recommended that a person does a seasonal detox twice a year. One detox is in the Spring to support the body, mind and spirit in transitioning from Winter into Summer. Another detox is in the Fall and supports the body, mind and spirit in transitioning from Summer into Winter.

Seasonal transitions can cause stress to the body, mind, and spirit.  By using Ayurvedic tools, we can better prepare for the seasonal transition and its stress, and ease into the cold months of Winter more peacefully.

This cleanse can be done for three days or three weeks depending on your experience and health. The longer the cleanse is, the more benefits you will enjoy.

In this workshop, you will learn about a monodiet of kitchari and Ayurvedic herbs for detoxification to support the body’s natural process of purification.

Kitchari

Kitchari is an Ayurvedic classic meal that is combined of rice and dal and is used to help the body rest and restore. We use kitchari during cleanses and also when ill because it is gentle on the digestive system, helps to eliminate toxins and provides the body with proper nourishment.

I will cook kitchari during the workshop and we will be able to enjoy this meal together. Also, I will provide a simple, Ayurvedic daily routine to help you maximize the benefits of your detox.
